Settings explained

Language

In case you want to use this app in another language your system defaults to, you change this here. If you see "not installed"  beside the language, you don't have this language included in your systems language list (in Windows 10/11). To install a language, go to "Settings -> Time & language -> Region & language" and then simply add the language to the list. Then you have to check in the Store-App for updates and the new language will be downloaded with an app update. Now you should be able to use the language.

Theme

You can choose between a "Dark" and "Light" theme. "Auto" is the one your system is set to, usually "Dark" on mobile and "Light" on desktop devices. You have also the option to change the color theme. "Triad" is a theme which has three different colors as base. "Complementary" and "Accent" (your systems color) have two as base.

Adapter

Just choose your adapter. If the adapter is build-in, it can appear as the device name and not the adapters name... I get this from Windows 10/11 this way.

Display

Prevent screen timeout

If turned "On", your display will no longer turn off after the time period you set in your system settings. This setting will only impact the app itself.

Lock screen rotation

If turned "On", your display will no longer change orientation and will stay on the chosen one when rotated by using the sensors (you may also have to have tablet mode enabled but I am not sure). There is also no "Portrait (flipped)" on mobile because these devices don't support it. This setting will only impact the app itself.

Performance

Processed networks per channel

With this setting you can boost performance on slower devices or in case you live in areas with many Wi-Fi networks. The number basically says that it will per scan/refresh only process this many networks per channel. Because of this, not all networks will be displayed anymore on the screen.

Interval delay

In case the immediate refresh is too fast, you can delay the scan/refresh for this amount of time.

Start screen

Enable Live-Tile

Here you can "Enable" or "Disable" the Live-Tile. More info you'll find in my "Live-Tile explained" tutorial.

Signal strength

Upper border

Here you can adjust the upper border of the signal strength (dBm) scale. This will impact the graphs and the signal strength of each network.

Lower border

Here you can adjust the lower border of the signal strength (dBm) scale. This will impact the graphs and the signal strength of each network.

Beeper volume

In case the beeper is too loud, you can adjust the volume without changing your systems volume.

Graph

Show graphs as trapezoid

If turned "On", the graphs look like trapezoids instead of parabolas. This is in most cases more physically correct.

Minimal opacity

Here you can fine tune the opacity of the faded graphs for the ones which have a weak signal strength (dBm).

Maximum graph time

Here you can fine tune the maximum length of the time graph. This also impacts the time networks will be displayed as "OUT OF RANGE" until they will be removed.

Networks

Always show encryption type

If turned "On", you'll always see the encryption type (e.g. WPA2) in the network list. Even if the details are collapsed.

Sort network list automatically

If turned "On", your network list will be sorted automatically to bars. The manual "Sort" button will disappear.

Restore defaults

Here you can reset all the settings to the values they would be after a fresh install.
